Hey, my name is Jasmyne

First and foremost, I am a mother to the two best humans on this planet.

Second, I am the founder and lead photographer of Luminous Explorations in Indianapolis. I make commissioned art portraits for women ready to be seen, families whose stories deserve to outlast them, and leaders whose presence deserves an image to match.

If I strip away all of the labels, I’m someone who is deeply curious, creative, and driven by connection. Someone who wants to build a community of people who show up for each other in small and big moments. I believe with my whole heart that people are worth paying close attention to, and that being truly seen changes them, including me. I’m learning to trust myself more, live with intention, and create a life that feels honest to who I am.

The june bug is the symbol behind everything I create. It stands for transformation, rebirth, and the instinct to navigate toward light. It reminds me, and my clients, that self-acceptance is where the new chapter starts.

When I am not behind the camera, you can most likely find me at a sporting event of some kind for my children. My favorite sport is Basketball. Really looking forward to seeing Haliburton play again this season. My all-time favorite thing to do is travel, watch movies, or listen to audiobooks while I clean the house.

While editing your photos, I most likely have a kitty purring in my lap. My favorite food is Sushi, and I could probably live off of only that for the rest of my life.
